Kenny Goldie of Goldie Group discovered that the U.S. International Trade Commission planned to review the July 15, 2011 Administrative Law Judge’s decision on HTC’s violation of Apple patents. The final ID found that the High Tech Company (HTC) of Taiwan Violated section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930. The ITC will review both the patents and how each company is using these patents. The arguments presented by each company’s representatives will also be reviewed for their material bearing to the case. Additional documentation from each company is due in October 2011.

If the ITC upholds the final ID, HTC can be banned from importing certain products into the U.S. The products affected by the final ID will be mobile communications and personal data devices, as well as their supporting software.
